He has experience in everything from drafting and arguing motions for summary judgment in wrongful death medical malpractice actions to securing favorable settlements in high-stakes cases. His comprehensive legal experiences allow him to understand and address his clients' unique needs, including health professionals, state and local government agencies, and health care providers.

- Successfully arguing a motion for summary judgment in a wrongful death medical malpractice action against a hospital and hospitalist.
- Achieving a favorable settlement following a successful Daubert challenge in a high-stakes, multi-defendant medical malpractice case.
- Obtaining a per curiam affirmance on an appeal to the 11th Circuit involving challenges to various evidentiary matters in an Eighth Amendment civil rights action.
- Securing multiple early dismissals of medical malpractice and employment discrimination claims based on complex presuit procedural issues.
After earning his degree from the University of Alabama School of Law, Jacob returned to his native Florida, where he gained experience in practicing medical malpractice, labor and employment, civil rights and general civil litigation defense.
Outside the courtroom, as a proud native Floridian, Jacob cherishes time outdoors, particularly fishing and spending time on the water. He and his wife, Marky, who is also an attorney, enjoy going on walks with their pup, Oliver, and exploring Birmingham. A passionate sports enthusiast, Jacob is an ardent supporter of Florida State football and basketball.
