Ben Brown's diversified experience informs his commercial litigation practice.
Ben’s work in construction contracting prior to his career in law equips him with a unique perspective. Before attending law school, he graduated from Auburn University with a civil engineering degree and oversaw multimillion-dollar projects as a project manager in the healthcare division of a Birmingham general contractor. It was this experience that inspired him to pursue a career in commercial litigation.
Prior to joining Lightfoot, Ben spent two summers interning in the construction practice of a national law firm, and he interned at local plaintiff's firm part-time throughout his second year of law school. While at Cumberland School of Law, Ben was top of his class for courses in contracts, criminal law, advanced evidence, and depositions. He also held three different titles with the Cumberland Law Review: Junior Member, Board Member and Writing Editor.
Beyond work, Ben enjoys golfing, fishing and skiing, as well as spending time outdoors in his hometown of Birmingham with his wife, Allie, and dog, Mabel.
