Gabe Dowdell works tirelessly to find the right solutions for his clients.
Gabe partners with his clients, mastering details and conducting relentless research to meet case needs. His trial practice focuses on a wide array of practice areas including commercial litigation, intellectual property, environmental and toxic torts. Prior to joining Lightfoot, Gabe gained valuable experience at an international law firm, Hogan Lovells, where he worked on various cases involving commercial litigation and consumer protection. He also took on various pro bono matters while volunteering for the Georgetown Health Justice Alliance Clinic, providing legal representation to underserved communities regarding public benefits and assistance, housing and special education. Gabe is based in our Birmingham office but is also licensed in Texas.
Gabe graduated from Georgetown University Law Center, where he was a member of the Georgetown Environmental Law Review. He completed his first year of law school at the University of Tulsa College of Law where he received multiple academic honors, graded onto the Tulsa Law Review and received the Cali Award in property for the highest grade in the class.
Before attending law school, Gabe spent a year as an AmeriCorps Member working with at-risk students and developing community building programs for underfunded schools in Tulsa. When he is not working, Gabe enjoys watching (and playing) sports and spending time with his wife, Katie, as well as friends and family.
