Cassidy Keith is a well-rounded attorney who leverages her strong research skills in every case.
Cassidy is a former two-time Lightfoot summer associate. During her time at the firm, she made significant contributions, such as drafting a motion to dismiss for failure to state a claim and a motion in limine. Cassidy also worked alongside the firm’s attorneys to write legal memos for various litigation matters. She applies her comprehensive background to environmental and toxic tort cases, as well as product liability and commercial litigation matters at the firm.
In addition to her time at Lightfoot, Cassidy spent two summers with an Am Law 200 firm and interned with a North Carolina real estate and estate planning boutique. Her work in those roles spans reviewing position statements addressing a United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission discrimination charge to drafting applications for veterans benefits and name change documents. Cassidy also honed her skills while clerking for both the Hon. Edward Carnes, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit and the Hon. Annemarie Carney Axon of the Northern District of Alabama.
Cassidy earned her J.D. from the University of Alabama School of Law and her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Alabama. During law school, Cassidy was the Articles Editor for the Alabama Law Review and a quarterfinalist in the Alabama Law Moot Court Competition. In 2021, she won the Walter P. Gewin Award for Best Brief in the Moot Court competition. Cassidy was also a brief writer for the Jessup Moot Court Team, a member of the Alabama Law Moot Court Board, and a member of the Bench and Bar Legal Honor Society.
Outside her professional life, Cassidy enjoys reading, going to a thrift or consignment store and scrapbooking.
