Blakeley’s expertise and efforts in recruiting are key to the firm's growth and success in the legal industry.
Blakeley plays a crucial role in identifying and recruiting attorneys, from filling the firm’s summer associate and first-year attorney classes to attracting experienced lateral hires. She oversees the firm's summer program and law school recruitment, which includes conducting on-campus interviews, information sessions and networking events, as well as guiding the Recruiting Committee through resume screening and the offer process. Her contributions are instrumental in identifying and attracting top legal talent, building relationships with future lawyers and cultivating a strong pipeline of skilled attorneys.
Blakeley also handles the planning and coordination of various in-house events, conferences, holiday parties, and the firm retreat.
A University of Alabama graduate with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Restaurant Hospitality Management, with a focus on marketing and events, Blakeley brings a unique perspective to her role. Before joining Lightfoot, she gained valuable experience working on the recruiting team at an AmLaw 200 firm.
In addition to her professional accomplishments, she actively engages with her community as a member of the junior board for Preschool Partners, where she dedicates her time and efforts to making a positive impact on early childhood education. Blakeley resides in Birmingham with her husband and beloved English Springer Spaniel.
