Lightfoot securing defense verdict in product liability case.

Lightfoot, along with local counsel in Miami, defended this product liability case on behalf of a ladder manufacturer and major retailer in the Southern District of Florida, Miami-Dade Division. The plaintiff claimed a defect in the ladder caused him to lose his balance and fall several feet, landing face first on the pavement. In closing argument, plaintiff's counsel asked the jury to award the plaintiff $205,000 to compensate him for medicals, lost wages, pain, suffering and facial disfigurement. After three hours of deliberations, the jury returned a verdict for our client.
