Assisting software company with Alabama Supreme Court appeal.
Lightfoot was retained by a software development company in a commercial dispute in Alabama involving an asset purchase agreement where the trial court entered judgment against our client on its counterclaim for breach of contract. The Alabama Supreme Court reversed the judgment and remanded the case for a calculation of damages sustained by our client. After a retrial, the parties cross-appealed and we handled the second appeal, in which the Alabama Supreme Court ruled that our client was entitled to counterclaim damages in the amount it had sought.
