Wesley Smithart Selected to 2024 Birmingham Bar Association Future Leaders Forum

Lightfoot, Franklin & White LLC is proud to announce that associate M. Wesley Smithart has been selected to participate in the 2024 Birmingham Bar Association (BBA) Future Leaders Forum. 

The annual forum, which runs for six sessions from July to December, is a vetted, invitation-only event that prepares motivated attorneys who have been licensed to practice for three to eight years to become leaders in the Magic City community and the BBA.

Smithart represents clients in disputes involving product liability, medical malpractice, white-collar criminal enforcement and personal injury. Her clients include a Fortune 100 technology company, a Fortune 100 automotive manufacturer and several healthcare providers, as well as large national insurance, trucking and manufacturing companies.

In addition to her defense litigation work, Smithart is part of the firm’s hiring committee and is the mentoring program vice chair for the Women in the Law Committee for the Alabama Defense Lawyers Association. She is also part of the Alabama State Bar Young Lawyers Association executive committee and a member of DRI, the largest international membership organization of attorneys defending the interests of business and individuals in civil litigation.
