Lightfoot, Franklin & White LLC partner Reid C. Carpenter and associate Jonathan R. Little have been selected as 2020 “Birmingham NextGen: Rising Stars of Law” by the Birmingham Business Journal (subscription required).
The award recognizes up-and-coming attorneys in the Magic City who are under the age of 40. Honorees are selected based on their contributions to their firm, tangible results in their practice areas and involvement in the community, among other factors.
“Reid and Jonathan both embody what it means to be a rising star in the legal profession and in the broader Birmingham community,” said Lightfoot managing partner Melody Eagan. “We congratulate them on this well-deserved recognition.”
Carpenter manages a general litigation practice at Lightfoot, with a focus on natural gas, product liability and healthcare matters. His experience includes multiple jury trials as well as arbitrations across Alabama, including complex cases related to industrial equipment, firearms and medical malpractice claims.
Little helps clients solve their litigation problems across numerous industries, whether through research and writing or arguing on his feet in court. A significant portion of his practice is devoted to representing media and communications companies, and he routinely defends companies in product liability, fire and personal injury litigation.
