Terry McCarthy to Present at Annual Trial Skills Seminar CLE

Lightfoot, Franklin & White LLC partner Terry McCarthy will continue his year-end speaking circuit by presenting at the Trial Skills Seminar sponsored by CLE Alabama. The seminar will be held on December 20 at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Hoover, Alabama. McCarthy will teach about the latest developments in Alabama Evidence Law.

The day-long seminar will also feature Terry’s brother, Brian McCarthy, and several other prominent attorneys and judges, including Judge Leslie Johnson, Judge Elisabeth French, Sara Williams, Anthony Joseph, Bob MacKenzie, Stephen Heninger and Alyce Spruell.

In addition to his diverse trial and appellate practice at Lightfoot, McCarthy is an adjunct professor of evidence law at Samford University’s Cumberland School of Law. He is co-author (along with Charles Gamble and Robert Goodwin) of the two leading treatises on Alabama evidence law: Gamble’s Alabama Rules of Evidence and the forthcoming edition of McElroy’s Alabama Evidence. McCarthy also serves on the Alabama Supreme Court Advisory Committee to the Alabama Rules of Evidence.
