Terry McCarthy Named Among 2023’s “Best of the Bar” By Birmingham Business Journal

Lightfoot, Franklin & White LLC partner Terrence W. McCarthy has been named among 2023’s “Best of the Bar” by Birmingham Business Journal. 

This award recognizes star performers among the Magic City’s legal industry. This year’s honorees represent a range of practice groups and help shape their firms, the Birmingham economy and, in many cases, businesses around the nation. 

McCarthy has been practicing law for more than 23 years and has served as lead trial and appellate counsel in a variety of matters in more than 25 states. Having co-authored several books considered the “Bible” of Alabama evidence and “must-reads,” McCarthy is considered a preeminent authority on evidence issues in the state of Alabama. He also devotes a substantial amount of his practice to appellate matters and works on almost all cases being handled at the firm. He has deep experience in insurance and employment law, including defending corporations against charges made to the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and more. McCarthy also serves on the firm’s Associate Training Committee.
