Rachelle Sanchez Named 2020 ‘Veteran of Influence’
November 22, 2020
Lightfoot, Franklin & White LLC associate Rachelle E. Sanchez has been named a 2020 “Veteran of Influence” by the Birmingham Business Journal.
The annual program recognizes military veterans “who served their country before going on to have successful careers in Birmingham’s business community.” Honorees were selected based upon track record of success in their companies and within their industries, as well as contributions to the community.
“Rachelle is a skilled lawyer and a valued member of the Lightfoot team. We’re grateful for her service to our country and for her contributions to this firm,” said managing partner Melody Eagan. “Lightfoot has always remained committed to service members and their families, and we are proud to have a number of veterans on our team.”
Prior to her legal career, Sanchez enlisted in the Army National Guard as an MP (Military Police) and served for six years. During the last two years of her service, she attended law school and added a role with the JAG office to her military responsibilities. Though not yet licensed, she was trusted with a variety of matters, including disciplinary investigations and administrative hearings.
Sanchez is a former criminal prosecutor with the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office in Arizona, where she gained significant trial experience. At Lightfoot, her defense litigation practice focuses on healthcare, product liability and automotive cases.
