October 10, 2019
Lightfoot, Franklin & White LLC partner Rachel Lary and associate Chris Yearout have been named to the Birmingham Business Journal’s “Rising Stars of Law” for 2019. They are featured in the publication’s October 12 issue.
The annual award celebrates local, up-and-coming attorneys under the age of 40. Honorees are selected based on their contributions to their firm, tangible results in their practice areas and involvement in the community, among other factors.
“Rachel and Chris are both deserving of this recognition, and we’re glad to see their hard work recognized,” said Lightfoot managing partner Melody Eagan. “They are valuable members of the Lightfoot team, and we’re proud to call them our colleagues.”
Lary represents clients in business disputes, product liability claims, medical malpractice matters, and trust and estate disputes. She serves as national counsel for several major clients and leads a product liability team for a Fortune 500 company that requires overseeing and managing litigation in multiple states. Lary is recognized in The Best Lawyers in America for commercial litigation, and she is a Super Lawyers “Rising Star.”
Yearout represents clients in a broad range of practice areas, including product liability, healthcare, commercial disputes and toxic torts. He has been recognized by Super Lawyers as a “Rising Star” for his product liability and medical malpractice defense work. B-Metro magazine also named him a “Rising Star of the Bar” in 2013.
