March 12, 2020
Lightfoot, Franklin & White LLC lawyer Elizabeth H. Huntley received a “Women of Impact” award at the Momentum biennial leadership conference on March 12. The honor recognizes Alabama women who do extraordinary work to positively impact the lives of others in business, culture, politics or the community.
In addition to handling large corporate litigation matters at Lightfoot, Huntley is a committed child advocate and provides legal and consultation services to government and nonprofit agencies that serve children and families. She is frequently appointed by judges to represent the legal interests of children in civil cases.
Huntley also serves as a motivational speaker to various groups and organizations where she challenges audiences to adopt her “no excuses” philosophy. In 2015, she published her personal memoir, “More Than A Bird,” which recounts her childhood journey “from unimaginable darkness to radiance.” Huntley was named a Birmingham Bar Foundation Fellow in 2018.
Momentum is Alabama’s premier women’s leadership program, empowering a diverse group of promising women to achieve their full leadership potential in order to impact the cultural, political and business environment of Alabama. For more information, visit www.momentumleaders.org.
