Lightfoot’s James Gibson and Christopher Yearout Speak at DRI Product Liability Conference

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (February 12, 2018) — Lightfoot, Franklin & White LLC partner James W. Gibson and associate Christopher C. Yearout both spoke at the recent DRI Product Liability Conference. Held February 7-9 in San Diego, California, the annual event brings together product liability defense lawyers from around the country to discuss pressing issues facing their clients.
Gibson’s speech, “How to Get a Seat at the ‘Grown-Ups’ Table,” addressed his own extensive trial work and ways that young lawyers can earn greater responsibilities at trial. He focuses his practice on product liability, as well as medical malpractice and consumer fraud defense. Gibson has also handled business disputes, toxic torts cases, legal malpractice cases, construction defect claims and class actions.
Yearout served on a panel titled “Gray Areas Involving Industry Standards: Proposed Standards, The Period Between Publication and Effective Date, and Industry Responsibility To Be Proactive.” In his practice, Yearout primarily handles product liability defense matters, as well as medical malpractice defense. He also has experience in cases involving commercial/business disputes and toxic torts.
