January 11, 2023
Lightfoot, Franklin & White LLC has elected attorneys Kaitlyn M. Faucett and Amie A. Vague to the firm’s partnership, effective January 1.
"We are very happy to welcome Amie and Kaitlyn to the partnership," said managing partner Melody Eagan. "Both women are an important part of the firm as talented young lawyers known for their creativity and tenacity. We’re excited to see what unfolds for them as partners and congratulate them on this career milestone."
Faucett joined Lightfoot as an associate in 2020 as part of the acquisition of Levinthal Wilkins, and is based in the Houston office. She maintains a diverse caseload, including commercial disputes, along with employment, healthcare, personal injury and real estate litigation. In a recent matter, she represented an oil field services provider as a plaintiff in a breach of contract dispute, obtaining summary judgment. The decision was ultimately upheld by the Houston Court of Appeals, which also awarded the clients all attorneys’ fees for both the trial and appeal. Faucett holds a J.D. from the University at Buffalo School of Law and a B.A. (magna cum laude) from Mercyhurst University.
Vague joined Lightfoot as an associate in 2015 and is part of the firm’s Birmingham office. She has a varied practice that includes work on trial and appellate matters involving product liability, medical malpractice, professional liability, commercial litigation, employment law and white-collar criminal defense and corporate investigations. Her notable cases include her work as part of an all-woman trial team that secured a judgment as a matter of law for an Alabama cardiologist in a wrongful death action, resulting in the dismissal of the case. Vague is a member of the firm’s recruiting and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion committees, and is also co-chair of the firm’s annual Lightfoot Academy, a pre-law program for diverse future law students. She holds a J.D. (cum laude) from Pepperdine University School of Law and a B.A. (summa cum laude) from Lipscomb University.
