December 6, 2020
Lightfoot, Franklin & White LLC has promoted Jessica Wehby to the position of E-Discovery Project Manager within the firm’s Case Clarity group. In that role, she will serve as a liaison between the firm’s litigation team, vendors and records-management personnel in the preservation, collection, processing and production of documents.
“We are pleased to advance Jessica into this new role, which is a crucial component of what we do for clients,” said Lightfoot managing partner Melody Eagan. “E-discovery is a central and important part of many cases we handle, and Jessica has the skills and background to ensure this is handled efficiently for our clients.”
Wehby has nearly a decade of experience working as a lawyer and paralegal, and is licensed with the Alabama State Bar. She has spent several years growing her information-technology experience and will now leverage that knowledge to manage e-discovery for the firm’s clients. Wehby is also a member of the Birmingham Bar, the Association of Certified E-Discovery Specialists (ACEDS) and the Birmingham Chapter of Women in E-Discovery.
The firm’s Case Clarity group provides dedicated e-discovery support. Wehby works closely with the firm’s trial lawyers, their clients and opposing parties to collect and review all electronic information, while following court-mandated protocols. The end result is an efficient, cost-effective e-discovery process that supports a case with the right information in the correct format so it can be used to its best advantage.
