January 30, 2024
Lightfoot, Franklin & White LLC has elevated Amaobi J. Enyinnia, Benjamin P. Harmon and Rachelle E. Sanchez to the firm’s partnership, effective January 1. Previously serving as associates, they have consistently demonstrated the values and skills emblematic of Lightfoot.
“From their very first days as associates, Amaobi, Ben and Rachelle embodied what we call the Lightfoot Way. Their commitment to our firm and clients is commendable, and their promotion to partners is well deserved,” said managing partner Melody Eagan. “We are honored to welcome them into the partnership and look forward to their continued success as they take on more responsibility in these new roles.”
Enyinnia’s practice focuses on commercial litigation, transportation, personal injury and product liability. In addition, he defends physicians confronting medical malpractice claims. He applies his previous experience working in business, government, e-discovery and clinical settings to advance a client’s goals and develop efficient solutions that “move the ball forward.” Enyinnia plays a key role in the firm as a member of Lightfoot’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee, and serves as a resource for recent law graduates through his work with chapters of the Black Law Students Association. He holds a J.D. (magna cum laude) from the University of Tennessee College of Law and a B.A. from Vanderbilt University.
Harmon represents clients in a broad range of matters, including general commercial and environmental defense litigation. His clients include leading companies in the financial services, consumer goods, healthcare and telecommunications sectors. Harmon currently serves on the board of the Alabama Appleseed Center for Law & Justice, and frequently takes on pro bono cases through that organization representing individuals appealing lengthy prison terms for low-level crimes due to Alabama’s Three Strikes Law. He earned his J.D. (cum laude) from Harvard Law School and his B.S. from the University of Alabama. During law school, Harmon was a law fellow at the Equal Justice Initiative, where he worked with clients on death penalty appeals and authored reports on litigation reform.
Sanchez’s defense litigation practice focuses on healthcare, medical malpractice, product liability and automotive cases. She often serves as local counsel for multinational conglomerates in matters before Alabama courts and the Eleventh Circuit. Sanchez is a former criminal prosecutor with the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office in Arizona, where she gained significant trial experience. She also served in the U.S. Army, first in a combat support role as an MP and later in the JAG office trying administrative and punitive matters. Sanchez holds a J.D. (cum laude) from Arizona State University’s Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law and a B.A. (summa cum laude) from the Barrett Honors College at Arizona State University.
