Lightfoot Partner Lee Hollis Speaks at Network of Trial Law Firms CLE Event

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (August 6, 2018) — Lightfoot, Franklin & White LLC partner Lee M. Hollis spoke at the Network of Trial Law Firms’ 2018 ‘Litigation Management in a New York Minute’ on August 3.
The Continuing Legal Education (CLE) program, held at the City Bar Building in New York City, brought together attorneys from across the country to present on topics ranging from ethics and preparing for depositions to optimizing discovery and ways to combat implicit bias.
In his presentation, titled "Whistleblowers under Dodd-Frank and Sarbanes-Oxley: Untouchable?", Hollis explored the extent of legal protection offered to employees who raise concerns about alleged illegal activity. He discussed the practical and legal issues surrounding how to handle a whistleblower employee.
Hollis has practiced law for more than 25 years, trying numerous wrongful death, personal injury and commercial cases to defense verdicts. He previously served as Chair of the Network of Trial Law Firms and was the Co-Chair of the Alabama Defense Lawyers Association’s Trial Academy.
