Lightfoot Partner Jack Sharman Speaks at American Bar Association White Collar Institute and Birmingham Bar Association Retreat

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (March 5, 2018) — Lightfoot, Franklin & White LLC partner Jack Sharman recently presented at two major bar association events in California and Alabama.
On February 28, Sharman spoke at The American Bar Association’s 32nd Annual National Institute on White Collar Crime in San Diego. He participated in a regional panel discussing developments in the South. More than 1,000 attorneys, judges and law enforcement officials attended the event.
Sharman also participated in a panel discussion at the Birmingham Bar Association’s 22nd Annual Bench & Bar Retreat on March 3 in Prattville, Alabama. The “Rule of Law” panel focused on Searcy et al v. Strange, the Alabama House of Representatives Judiciary Committee Investigation of former Governor Robert Bentley and the Alabama Judicial Inquiry Commission Proceeding against former Chief Justice Roy Moore. In addition to Sharman, panelists included Senior U.S. District Judge Callie Granade and John Carroll, former federal trial judge and former dean of Cumberland Law School.
Sharman served as special counsel to the Alabama House Judiciary Committee for the impeachment investigation of former Alabama Governor Robert Bentley. He has practiced law for nearly 30 years and leads Lightfoot’s White Collar Criminal Defense and Corporate Investigations practice.
