Lightfoot Partner Amie Vague Recognized in 2023 Women to Watch by Birmingham Business Journal

Lightfoot partner Amie Vague was recently named one of the 2023 Women to Watch by the Birmingham Business Journal. This prestigious designation shines the spotlight on female professionals across the city, honoring those who have not only emerged as key leaders at their organizations but who are also trailblazers setting the stage for the future of the Birmingham business community. 

Even before being named to the firm’s partnership at the onset of 2023, Amie has continuously championed Lightfoot’s core values beyond her legal practice. Under her leadership as the co-chair for the past two summers, the Lightfoot Academy--an immersive week-long program for diverse pre-law students—saw a 40% increase in participation, fostering the next generation of legal talent. 

Amie is an active member of the firm’s Hiring Committee and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee, working to ensure the firm celebrates every voice. Her varied practice includes product liability, medical malpractice, professional liability, commercial litigation, employment law, and white-collar criminal defense and corporate investigations.

Amie will be recognized at the 2023 Women’s Summit on September 29th alongside the city’s most influential “Women to Watch” and “Top Birmingham Women” honorees.
