Lightfoot Names Reid Carpenter and Jeffrey Doss to Partnership

Lightfoot, Franklin & White LLC has elected Reid C. Carpenter and Jeffrey P. Doss as partners, effective January 1. 

“We are pleased to welcome Reid and Jeff to the partnership,” said managing partner Melody Eagan. “Both are talented, hard-working trial lawyers who consistently demonstrate our firmwide focus on client service. We congratulate them on this well-deserved career milestone.”

Carpenter joined the firm in 2010 after graduating from law school. He maintains a general litigation practice with a focus on three key areas: natural gas, product liability and healthcare. Carpenter’s clients include a natural gas operator, doctors and hospitals, and major manufacturers of industrial, agricultural and forestry equipment. He holds a J.D. from the University of Alabama School of Law and a B.S. from the University of Alabama.  

Doss focuses his practice on white-collar criminal defense and complex civil litigation, in addition to conducting internal investigations for private and public entities. He has defended businesses and individuals in connection with grand jury investigations, administrative enforcement proceedings, and criminal prosecutions at the trial and appellate levels. Doss received his J.D. (magna cum laude) from Cumberland School of Law and holds a B.S.M. (cum laude) from Tulane University.
