August 28, 2018
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (August 29, 2018) — Lightfoot, Franklin & White LLC managing partner Melody Eagan has been selected as a member of Leadership Alabama’s Class XXIX. After a rigorous and competitive selection process, Eagan will be among the handful of leaders statewide to participate in the annual program.
Each year, the nonprofit organization brings together 50 to 60 leaders from across the state to learn more about the priorities and issues that affect Alabama’s future. Over the course of nine months, members attend four two-and-a-half-day retreats and visit communities across the state to gain an understanding of needs and opportunities from education and economic development to quality of life and government.
“I’m honored to be chosen for this selective program, and I’m excited for the opportunity to learn and serve our state alongside such a great group of leaders,” said Eagan.
Eagan has practiced law at Lightfoot for more than 20 years and is the firm’s first female managing partner. She focuses her practice on product liability and personal injury cases. Eagan serves as regional counsel for a number of clients and has successfully tried numerous cases to verdict throughout the Southeast. She served as president of the Alabama Defense Lawyers Association and is a member of the Defense Research Institute, where she has served as a State Liaison for the DRI Women in the Law Committee.
