Lightfoot, Franklin & White LLC announces a $25,000 donation to the University of Alabama School of Law’s Path Makers Legacy Plaza, which will honor the school’s first Black graduates and celebrate their historic contributions to the institution. The plaza will be located just outside the windows of the Bounds Law Library and feature three prominent arches dedicated to the first three Black graduates of Alabama Law.
“This project is a powerful tribute to the role Black lawyers have played at Alabama Law and across our state,” said Lightfoot Managing Partner Melody Eagan. “As a firm with deep connections to the University of Alabama, we’re honored to support the Path Makers Legacy Plaza and look forward to seeing this important space come to life.”
The $1.5 million Path Makers Legacy Plaza will be an ADA-accessible outdoor space designed for studying, socializing and holding classes. It will also provide event facilities for hosting alumni, visiting scholars and friends of Alabama Law.
