Lightfoot Associates Reid Carpenter and Amie Vague Selected for Birmingham Bar Association’s 2018 Future Leaders Forum
July 10, 2018
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (July 11, 2018) — Two Lightfoot, Franklin & White LLC associates have been named to the 2018 class of the Birmingham Bar Association’s Future Leaders Forum. Reid C. Carpenter and Amie A. Vague were chosen as members for the selective annual program.
The Forum aims to cultivate leaders among a group of motivated attorneys who have been in practice for three to eight years. From July to December, the attorneys attend six sessions focused on leadership and professional development.
A group of Birmingham Bar Association leaders organized the first Forum class in 2009, after recognizing a need for leadership identification and development among Birmingham’s young attorneys. Since that time, the Forum has emerged as one of the premiere leadership and professional development experiences for young lawyers.
“We are proud of Reid and Amie for being chosen for this distinction,” said Lightfoot managing partner Melody Eagan. “They are hard-working, talented attorneys, and I know they will represent our firm well.”
Carpenter maintains a general litigation practice, but the majority of his experience falls in three key areas: natural gas, products and healthcare. He graduated from the University of Alabama School of Law where he was a member of the Order of Barristers and received the American College of Trial lawyers and the International Academy of Trial Lawyers Student Advocacy Award.
Vague focuses her practice on product liability, medical malpractice and commercial litigation, among other areas. She graduated, cum laude, from the Pepperdine University School of Law and joined the firm after a two-year clerkship for the Honorable Camille R. McMullen in Memphis, Tennessee.
