December 19, 2018
Lightfoot, Franklin & White LLC associates Bridget Harris and Lane Morrison have been elected to the Executive Committee of the Birmingham Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Section.
The Young Lawyers Section consists of attorneys who are under the age of 37 or who have been practicing for five years or less. It hosts continuing legal education (CLE) seminars, fundraisers and other events to benefit newer members of the legal profession in Birmingham.
Harris primarily practices in the areas of product liability, catastrophic injury, white-collar criminal defense and corporate investigations, medical malpractice and commercial litigation. She graduated from The University of Alabama School of Law in May of 2017. During law school, she was the captain of the Trial Advocacy Competition team, which was named Southeast Regional Champion and national semifinalist in 2017.
Morrison focuses his practice on defending clients in complex commercial and product liability disputes. With a background in engineering, he is particularly adept at handling cases involving highly technical issues. Before joining Lightfoot, Lane put his training and experience to work defending architects and engineers in design and construction defect claims across the Southeast.
Both Harris and Morrison dedicate their time and legal skills to the Birmingham Bar Volunteer Lawyers Program (BBVLP). The organization promotes access to justice by inspiring volunteer attorneys to provide high-quality representation at no charge to low-income families with basic civil legal needs at critical times in their lives.
