Lightfoot Associates Brian Kappel and Jonathan Little Speak at University of North Carolina School of Law

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (February 9, 2018) — Lightfoot, Franklin & White LLC associates Brian P. Kappel and Jonathan R. Little spoke to students at the University of North Carolina School of Law on February 7. The presentation was part of an attorney-in-residence program at the law school and was sponsored by its Sports and Entertainment Law Society.

Kappel and Little discussed how they came to practice in sports and media law, respectively, and encouraged students to consider various avenues for entry into those fields. Kappel and Little also answered questions from students about projected future developments in those fields. Afterwards, they met with individual students who have an interest in their practice areas.

Kappel is a member of Lightfoot’s NCAA Compliance and Investigations practice and represents multiple NCAA member institutions in enforcement investigations. As part of the firm’s Media and Communications Law practice, Little represents several media companies in First Amendment/defamation actions arising out of print and video publications.
