Lightfoot Associate Amber Hall Featured in Video for Magic City Bar Association’s 2021 Annual Scholarship Banquet

Lightfoot Associate Amber Hall was recently featured in video for the Magic City Bar Association’s 2021 Annual Scholarship Banquet. Each year, the Magic City Bar Association awards over $75,000 in scholarships to three different minority law students attending the five Alabama law schools.
Amber was featured in a video played during the Banquet, which was attended virtually this year. She spoke on Lightfoot’s efforts to recruit and retain diverse talent firmwide. She touched Lightfoot’s firmwide initiative to promote diversity and inclusion, specifically the Lightfoot Academy, a week-long program providing diverse pre-law students mentorship and immersive experiences in trial law and our Diversity Scholarship, an annual initiative to recruit diverse talent within our Summer Associates. Amber also discussed the work we do to retain diverse talent including our focus on mentorship and professional development. Also mentioned, is Lightfoot’s recent involvement with the Mansfield Rule for Midsize Firms cohort.
“Lightfoot is proud to joining the Midsize Mansfield Rule Cohort in order to constantly evaluate and move the needle forward with respect to diversity, equity, and inclusion,” Hall said.
Established in 1984, the MCBA works to promote the professional advancement of African American lawyers, as well as protect the rights of citizens, provide resources for the minority legal community and uphold the honor of the legal profession.
Amber Hall is committed to not only her litigation practice, but also diversity advancement. She regularly handles cases in Consumer Fraud, Complex Government Litigation & Investigations and Product Liability practice groups as well as serving as vice chair for the DRI’s PR, Communications & Research Committee. She is a member of Lightfoot’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee and has been recognized as one of “Alabama’s Top 40 Under 40 Lawyers” by The National Black Lawyers.
