Lightfoot Announces Hire of Four New Attorneys
Three lateral associates, one first-year associate join firm

Lightfoot, Franklin & White LLC is pleased to welcome four new talented attorneys to the firm. Trey Bundrick, Gabriel D. Dowdell and Joshua G. Latzman are joining as lateral associates, while Solly Thomas is a first-year associate. Bundick, Dowdell and Thomas are based in the firm’s Birmingham office and Latzman is in Houston.
Bundrick maintains a diverse practice, representing clients in trial and appellate matters involving commercial litigation, consumer fraud and bad faith, and financial services. Prior to joining Lightfoot, Bundrick worked at another Birmingham-area litigation firm. During his time there, he was published by both Bloomberg Law and the Birmingham Bar Bulletin. Bundrick is a board member of the Schaeffer House, a non-profit ministry serving the needs of international students at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, his alma mater.
Dowdell counsels clients in commercial litigation, intellectual property, and environmental and toxic torts disputes. He began his practice working on commercial litigation and consumer protection cases for an international law firm, and applies that experience to his practice at Lightfoot. Dowdell earned his law degree from Georgetown University Law Center, where he served as a member of the Georgetown Environmental Law Review.
Latzman brings substantial experience to Lightfoot gained working at litigation firms in Houston and Detroit. Since 2013, he has represented clients in product liability, catastrophic injury, commercial litigation, consumer fraud and bad faith, civil rights and personal injury matters. Additionally, Latzman has participated in expert and fact witness preparations and examinations, as well as conducted all forms of motion practice and alternative dispute resolution processes. He earned his law degree from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law, where he was a member of the Frank Murphy Honor Society and the law review and moot court teams.
Thomas served as a Lightfoot summer associate in both 2020 and 2021, assisting the firm’s attorneys in various high-stakes product liability matters. He graduated from the University of Alabama School of Law. While in law school, Thomas was a senior editor for theAlabama Civil Rights and Civil Liberties Law Review. Prior to pursuing a career in litigation, Thomas served as an infantry officer for the United States Marine Corps.
