Former criminal prosecutor Grant A. Bryan has joined Lightfoot, Franklin & White LLC in Houston as an associate. Previously Deputy Chief for the largest division of the Bexar County District Attorney’s Office, Bryan brings over a decade of courtroom experience to the firm, having prosecuted nearly 60 jury trials.
“We are thrilled to welcome Grant to the Lightfoot team,” said Jared I. Levinthal, Managing Partner of the firm’s Houston office. “With his valuable background and case management experience, Grant is an ideal fit for the trial work we handle at Lightfoot. We are certain that his addition will strengthen our capabilities and deliver immense value to our firm and our clients.”
During his time with the district attorney’s office, Bryan not only managed his unit’s active caseload but also developed and executed jury trial strategies, leading a team of more than 100 prosecutors. He was heavily involved in training for the unit, conducting workshops on docket management, litigation tactics and case analysis. Bryan has taught courses for the Texas District & County Attorneys Association and law enforcement and regularly speaks at legal industry conferences.
“As I thought about the next stage of my career, I sought a civil defense firm known not only for its talented trial lawyers but also a supportive, collegial culture that emphasizes professionalism and client service,” said Bryan. “Everything I have learned about Lightfoot confirms that this is a firm that embodies these values. I’m thrilled to join this impressive group of litigators and look forward to what we do together.”
Bryan holds a J.D. from Pepperdine Caruso School of Law and a B.A. from Pepperdine University.
