July 9, 2024
Lawdragon has named Lightfoot Franklin & White LLC partners Kaitlyn M. Faucett and Amie A. Vague to its 2024 Lawdragon 500 X – The Next Generation Guide. This is Faucett’s second inclusion and Vague’s inaugural recognition in the guide.
The annual list by Lawdragon recognizes rising lawyers nationwide who “look and sound anew – with eyes turned toward the future and an undiminished belief in the opportunity each of them has to make an impact in their chosen field of expertise.”
“We take great pride in Kaitlyn and Amie’s accomplishments and are thrilled to see their potential recognized in this way,” said managing partner Melody H. Eagan. “We know both of them are already on their way to becoming leaders in the legal profession and we look forward to seeing what both of their futures hold.”
Founded in 2005, Lawdragon is a New York-based legal media company that publishes news and editorial features, including its well-known guides to the nation’s leading lawyers.
Faucett is based in the firm’s Houston office and maintains a diverse caseload, including commercial disputes, along with employment, healthcare, personal injury and real estate litigation. In a recent matter, she represented an oil field services provider as a plaintiff in a breach-of-contract dispute, obtaining summary judgment. The Houston Court of Appeals ultimately upheld the decision, which also awarded the clients all attorneys’ fees for both the trial and appeal.
Vague’s diverse legal practice includes work on trial and appellate matters involving product liability, medical malpractice, professional liability, commercial litigation, employment law, white-collar criminal defense and corporate investigations. Her notable cases include serving as part of an all-woman trial team that secured a judgment as a matter of law for an Alabama cardiologist in a wrongful death action, resulting in the dismissal of the case. She is based in the firm’s Birmingham office.
