Jay Sewell Publishes Article in Cumberland Law Review

Lightfoot, Franklin & White LLC associate Robert J. Sewell recently published an article in the Cumberland Law Review. 

Titled “It’s Time to Have an Adult Discussion About Alabama’s Juvenile Transfer Laws,” the piece analyzes the statutes of various states, including Alabama, and provides recommendations for change. Drawing on his background in law enforcement, Sewell looks at whether Alabama should institute a legal mechanism where juvenile offenders can be prosecuted as adults if the crime warrants it. 

A graduate of Cumberland Law School, Sewell represents clients in a variety of areas including white-collar criminal defense, commercial litigation and product liability.
