September 22, 2021
Lightfoot, Franklin & White LLC Houston partners Brian C. Boyle, Jared I. Levinthal and Robert A. Wilkins have been named to the 2021 Texas Super Lawyers list by Super Lawyers. Only 5% of lawyers in the state are selected by the research team to receive the designation each year. Each partner was recognized in the Business Litigation category.
Super Lawyers, part of Thomson Reuters, is a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. The annual selections are made using a patented multiphase process that includes a statewide survey of lawyers, an independent research evaluation of candidates and peer reviews by practice area.
Boyle is an experienced, commercial litigator, representing plaintiffs and defendants in a variety of cases. A significant portion of his practice is devoted to energy litigation. Boyle has previously appeared regularly on the Super Lawyers “Rising Star” list since 2008.
Levinthal represents plaintiffs and defendants in all types of litigation, including complex commercial cases with millions of dollars — and often the company itself — at stake. He handles disputes involving commercial and business issues, product liability, professional malpractice, intellectual property, insurance coverage and bad faith, serious personal injury and wrongful death. Since 2013, Levinthal has routinely been named a “Super Lawyer” in the Texas Monthly listing of top attorneys in the state, and he was named one of the top 100 lawyers in Houston by Super Lawyers for 2019.
Wilkins represents both plaintiffs and defendants in state and federal courts as well as before arbitral tribunals. He has a particular focus on commercial litigation involving the oil and gas industry, including business divorce cases, fiduciary duty issues, breach of contract claims, securities disputes and related matters. Wilkins has also handled personal injury and tort litigation, First Amendment issues and intellectual property disputes. He has been recognized as a Texas “Super Lawyer” by Texas Monthly every year since 2014.
