April 22, 2019
The Birmingham Business Journal has named Lightfoot, Franklin & White LLC partner Jack Sharman a 2019 “Best of the Bar” honoree. Sharman was recognized at an awards event on April 18 and will be featured alongside other honorees in an upcoming issue of the publication.
The new award spotlights local lawyers across a range of practice groups, including attorneys at area law firms, sole practitioners and corporate counsel.
“We are pleased to see Jack honored by the Birmingham Business Journal,” said Melody Eagan, Lightfoot’s managing partner. “Jack serves our white-collar clients and the bar with skill and energy, and we are happy to see his work and contributions recognized.”
Honorees for “Best of the Bar” were selected by a panel of editorial judges who reviewed nominations. Top criteria include contributions to their fields, tangible accomplishments in their practice area and their contributions to their firms. Professional reputation and civic involvement were also considered.
Sharman has practiced law for nearly 30 years and leads the firm’s White Collar Criminal Defense and Corporate Investigations practice. He defends businesses and individuals in civil and criminal white collar cases, provides guidance during corporate internal investigations and advises clients on how to stay in compliance with the law.
