Jack Sharman Interviewed by Reuters, Financial Times on House Impeachment Inquiry into President Trump
October 8, 2019
Media outlets have again called on Lightfoot, Franklin & White LLC partner Jack Sharman and his experience serving as a special counsel for an impeachment investigation.
Both Reuters and the Financial Times (subscription required) interviewed Sharman for stories in the wake of Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s decision to launch an impeachment inquiry into President Donald Trump by the House of Representatives. Sharman was also quoted in a subsequent Reuters story on decisions President Trump might be making about his legal team in light of the probe.
Sharman has practiced law for nearly 30 years and leads the firm’s White-Collar Criminal Defense and Corporate Investigations practice. He was the former special counsel to the House Banking Committee during its Whitewater investigation of President Bill Clinton in the 1990s. In 2016, he was appointed as special counsel to the Alabama House Judiciary Committee for the impeachment investigation of former Alabama Governor Robert Bentley.
