Lawdragon has named Lightfoot partner Henry Gimenez to its inaugural 500 Leading Global Entertainment, Sports & Media Lawyers 2025 guide.
“We are thrilled to see Henry recognized for his outstanding contributions to our firm and the legal community,” said managing partner Melody H. Eagan. “His dedication and experience make a real difference for our clients, and we’re proud to see him honored in this new guide.”
The 2025 Lawdragon 500 Leading Global Entertainment, Sports & Media Lawyers guide recognizes attorneys who represent high-profile clients across entertainment, sports and media. These lawyers advise rock stars, sports icons and digital creators while navigating complex issues such as antitrust, athlete pay, equality for women athletes and the establishment of new competitive venues. The honorees work with leagues, teams, universities and global competition bodies, providing counsel on everything from stadium development to brand protection and online gaming regulations.
Gimenez leads Lightfoot's NCAA Compliance & Investigations group and has been practicing collegiate sports law for 20 years. He has represented athletic programs and directors, coaches and student-athletes, including national championship contenders and Heisman Trophy winners from all corners of the NCAA membership. Gimenez handles traditional NCAA compliance issues and investigations while also helping colleges and universities with investigations relating to NIL, Title IX and student welfare issues, athletics-related employment disputes, negotiating and drafting coaching contracts, and more.
