Harlan Prater Selected as Tony McLain Award Recipient by Alabama State Bar

Lightfoot, Franklin & White LLC partner Harlan Prater has been selected by the Alabama State Bar to receive the Tony McLain award. 

The J. Anthony “Tony” McLain Professionalism Award honors Alabama lawyers who are devoted to professionalism and service to the Alabama State Bar.

“This award only confirms what we already know to be true about Harlan,” said Lightfoot managing partner Melody Eagan. “His consistent commitment to excellence and professionalism is an inspiration to all of us at Lightfoot.” 

Prater’s three decades of law practice have been devoted to all types of high-stakes civil trial work, with a focus on product liability and pharmaceutical and medical device litigation. A Fellow of both the American College of Trial Lawyers and the International Academy of Trial Lawyers, he has served as national and regional counsel for various product manufacturers. Prater is one of 15 Alabama lawyers selected as members of the Product Liability Advisory Council.
