Chris King and Bridget Harris Recognized at the Burton Awards for Law360 Diversity Article

Lightfoot, Franklin & White partner Chris King and associate Bridget Harris recently received the Distinguished Legal Writing Award, given by the Burton Awards, for their Law360 article, “Diversity's Next Step: Developing Minority Partners.” Bridget Harris and associate Wesley Smithart attended the Washington D.C. awards ceremony on behalf of the firm.
For the last 22 years the Burton Awards have recognized excellence in legal writing, honoring individuals and firms who effectively communicate in a wide range of mediums, from publications to the greatest reforms in law. The winners were chosen from the nominations submitted by the nation’s top 1,000 largest law firms. William Burton, Founder and Chair of the awards program, said “The winners are outstanding, highly skilled, and effective writers. The Law360 Writing Awards winners have now taught a new and even higher standard of excellence.”
Chris King chairs Lightfoot’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee and serves as the firm’s General Counsel, working primarily in high stakes appellate and class action litigation. Bridget Harris serves on the firm’s Hiring Committee and works primarily in product liability, catastrophic injury, medical malpractice, commercial litigation and automotive matters.
