Brian Boyle Publishes Texas Bar Journal Article Reviewing Energy Law Developments in 2019
February 2, 2020
Lightfoot, Franklin & White LLC partner Brian Boyle authored an article on energy law for the January 2020 issue of the Texas Bar Journal.
The journal published a section with lawyers contributing their perspectives on developments within various areas of the law in 2019. Boyle authored the contribution on energy, in which he reviewed notable cases before the Texas Supreme Court involving the oil and gas sector and discussed other key issues that emerged last year.
“Despite growing financial challenges for shale drillers, Texas maintained its unprecedented level of oil and gas production in 2019,” wrote Boyle. “…[T]he coming years are likely to involve legal challenges surrounding global warming policies and renewable energy targets.”
Boyle represents a range of clients — from Fortune 500 companies to small business owners and investors — in complex commercial litigation, with an emphasis on the energy industry. He is a partner in Lightfoot’s Houston office, and has handled numerous cross-border cases in the oil and gas sector and beyond.
