Birmingham Magazine Names Jack Sharman a 2019 ‘Top Attorney’ in Birmingham

Lightfoot, Franklin & White LLC partner Jack Sharman has been named a 2019 “Top Attorney” by Birmingham Magazine. This is the third year in a row he has received the distinction.

Recognized attorneys were selected through a peer survey of more than 4,000 local lawyers and Birmingham Bar Association members. Birmingham Magazine staff members then reviewed the results to vet both the voters and the winners.

“Jack has proven himself as an accomplished lawyer both in Birmingham and on a national level,” said Lightfoot managing partner Melody Eagan. “We’re proud of his work and pleased to see it recognized once again.”

Sharman has practiced law for nearly 30 years and leads the firm’s White Collar Criminal Defense and Corporate Investigations practice. He was the former special counsel to the House Banking Committee during its Whitewater investigation of President Bill Clinton in the 1990s. In 2016, he was appointed as special counsel to the Alabama House Judiciary Committee for the impeachment investigation of former Alabama Governor Robert Bentley.
