Amber Hall Publishes Arbitration Article in Business Alabama
July 21, 2019
Lightfoot, Franklin & White LLC associate Amber Hall recently wrote an article for Business Alabama about using arbitration to resolve business disputes.
In the article, titled “Aim for Arbitration Up Front,” Hall discusses why companies should use arbitration clauses in their contracts.
“An effective and enforceable arbitration clause in a contract can be the difference between a lengthy and expensive jury trial and a more efficient resolution by a knowledgeable decision-maker,” writes Hall.
She also weighs the risks and benefits of arbitration as well as considerations when drafting an arbitration clause, such as which organization will conduct the arbitration and other procedural specifications.
Hall previously co-authored another article for Business Alabama on litigation risks for manufacturers. In addition to experience with both arbitration and mediation, she represents clients in litigation involving product liability, consumer fraud and bad faith, and environmental and toxic torts.
