Lightfoot Secures Reversal of NCAA Penalties, Postseason Ban For University of Hawai'i
March 6, 2017
On March 3, 2017, the NCAA Division I Committee On Infractions reversed a postseason ban imposed against the University of Hawaii’s men’s basketball program. The Committee also reduced the University’s probationary period and scholarship reduction penalty. The decision came after the University successfully appealed the NCAA’s December 2015 ruling that instituted the penalties. Lightfoot attorneys William Brooks and Clint Speegle represented the University in the NCAA proceedings.
