Lightfoot endeavors to assign summer associates work in practice areas that most interest them. Additionally, Lightfoot’s goal is to provide each clerk with the experience that most resembles the experience of Lightfoot lawyers. Therefore, summer associates will get access to a range of practice areas and will learn from a number of different lawyers.
At Lightfoot, we are all trial lawyers. While many Lightfoot lawyers specialize in certain areas of the law, all of us begin learning from several lawyers in the firm and are not confined to a particular group or practice area. Similarly, Lightfoot does not confine its summer associates to practice groups. We think that you will learn more and be better if you work on different types of cases with a variety of mentors.
